For those watching on NASA-TV, I will try to provide some comm coverage and sunset/sunrise times while the EVA is in progress. My updates will end when the EVAers return to the airlock, I may have a few interruptions in my coverage today as my work schedule allows, bear with me ;)

5 minutes to the ZOE, 8 minutes to sunset on this pass.

Mixing in some L2 stuff. This is where they are heading first:

Quest depress is now at 3.3 PSI, 1 minute to the ZOE, 5 minutes to sunset, now receiving S-Band stills from Discovery.

A while back I remember them having a problem with weak magnets on the thermal cover to the Quest hatch which made it hard to close it completely. Did they replace the cover? I haven't noticed them having much trouble with it over the past few missions.

EV #1 & EV #2 doing some comm checks, 1.7 PSI in Quest now, that noise you are hearing is the air leaving the airlock. 1 minute to sunset.

Receiving S-band stills from Discovery through TDRS-Z, 33 minutes to the next sunrise. Now below 1 PSI in Quest, DO NOT expect any KU video for at least 20 minutes if I read the comm coverage correctly.

Go to open the hatch - and open. No KU as noted by Richard.

Handover from TDRS-Z to TDRS-West, still not in direct line of sight to West for KU, voice comm is good on West however. GO to open and stow the egress hatch, hatch is NOW OPEN, suits on internal battery power, thermal cover & hatch stowed.

The ISS KU is now line in sight with West for KU, I don't have the comm coverage for ISS KU, but I do for shuttle KU, there will be no shuttle KU for about 15 minutes, current KU is through the ISS.

The 'claw' that is seen I think is based on the S1 truss and it will be attach external platforms if I am correct, like the ESP 3 on P1. Now passing over the Philippines, 22 minutes to sunrise.

"Alright boys, it's time to rock and roll." Go to Egress on the 110th ISS EVA. 50 minutes later than scheduled.

Task 1: The SRMS elbow camera will first have the camera strap removed then will be maneuvered to the OBSS pre-grapple at handoff postion.

No view of the EVA crew exiting Quest as we need the shuttle payload bay cameras to view them and we have no shuttle KU right now, no ISS cameras are able to see the egress, Mike Fossum has egressed Quest, Ron Garan will be next, EVA 55 minutes behind schedule due to EVA comm cap troubles.

Discovery's crew taking photos out of the crew cabin, as seen in flashes on the feed.
