re pressurization is still underway...

Great EVA and lots of amazing pictures!

(did I misunderstood or the protections are optional/not required for crew entering the airlock?)

I'd first like to point out this is the first station EVA I've watched.

It seems to me that they could have designed the airlock better to give the astronauts more room after a tough day of work.

Funny to see Kelly munching away, realizing he was on camera, moved away, CAPCOM called him, then he flew, literally, back into shot!  ;D

I think he may have been getting some gum in his mouth to prepare for the repress (it's always easier to clear your ears when you're chewing on gum).

Airlock has a lot more room than you see in that shot.  I promise they're comfortable.

that was a great day and great coverage (well for me it's late at night now)... looking forward to get to see kibo from the inside tomorrow (around 4:52pm EDT) :)

Ground is troubleshooting COMCAP. Sergei asked to delay DPC by 10 minutes to allow troubleshooting.

No issue to re-entry.  Nothing much, so far, going on in this MSB.

Sigh time:

BBC report on BBC News 24:

1) Opens with the "first major task" by noting the installation of Kibo (ok, good), but then the toilet fix is referenced the second "major" part of the mission. But ok, every other muppet media is going with that, so nothing new. However,

2) They show Quest as Kibo. In fact you don't see Kibo in any of the report.

3) Attempt to say something about the OBSS handoff, but went into something made up about this process being carried out for the "need to check for damage after foam loss during ascent.

4) "when this happened..." - showing a clip of the PAL ramp liberation on STS-114's ascent! Also adding in that clip it was "seven" peices of foam.

You can just about forgive mass media getting things wrong, and let's face it, the BBC have been dire for the last 10 years, but that was rediculous with the PAL ramp clip and not even bothering to check the difference between Kibo and Quest. Muppets.

LOL!!!!

How.. un-professional... can you be?!  At least check your stuff, or talk to someone "in-the-know" of what the heck is going on!  (No offense, Chris, not targeted at you, at BBC)
