45 minutes to the EVA now, according to PAO.

Fresh batteries noted as a solution.

I thought he said he put fresh batteries in a camera.  isn't that what they're playing with now?

Me too, but I believe this is additional troubleshooting...on the "comm cap". Commander Kelly getting instructions from the ground.

Also appears to be involving this:

Leak checks and purge will need to be repeated.

Purge Mkii to be completed in a few minutes. 20-30 minutes away from start of EVA-1.

Doesn't a "world record" have to happen on the planet?  ;)

As long as we're talking LEO....well I guess everythings possible... ;)

PS: Printing a Guinnes Book of LEO-Records would be.......new.... :-D

Does anyone else miss seeing Peggy up there?

Offline Chris Bergin

They've only dropped about 15-30 minutes or so, so great job by all involved.

Flight Day 4 article, which I've been writing at the same time as the live event thread, so excuse if I'm missed a typo - near impossible to write and listen to Rob N at the same time ;) - will go over it again soon as I'll be updating it as we go through the FD.

(Title image is Kibo as seen from the RPM. Will add some more unseen pad damage images from L2, but waiting on source approval first).

The space walkers aren't going to have to deal with that obnoxious noise in their headsets during the entire EVA are they?

Nope, it's the depressurization noise you're hearing (whilst they are in Quest). Also the mics will be picking it up more than they probably are hearing it.

It'll become pulses of noise once they leave Quest.
