Does this mean that solar wing will remain in the same position for the life of ISS?

If so, Skylab was still a success without one of its solar wings....

NO.  They can "reverse" the bearing.  It was the final step that will need many EVAs.

Looks like a shot from Harmony.  Very close now.

Man Kibo is big!  It's not quite the same, but it at least gives you the idea of what the original "full sized" modules for Space Station Freedom would have looked like (aside from those nasty things like mass and launch/abort CG constraints . . . lol).

Thanks to all for "live blogging" this for us - I was at work all day, NASA TV streaming isn't working for me, and my Slingbox is out of commission due to home LAN issues).  So this coverage has been great!

I don't think ISS can support full planned operations with the arrays fixed, even after S6 is added. Some alternative would have to be found.

Complex is passing over northern Quebec, Canada, moving into East coverage only, 10 minutes to sunset on this pass.

are there going to be any cameras on the pallette at the far end of kibo? there'd be some amazing footage of the shuttle docking from there...

Well we know there will be RMS clearance cameras on it.  They will be installed on EVA 2.

PET is now 5:50, they don't wish to go over 6:30 if possible, EVA cleanup is soon to start.

30 minutes to the ZOE, 7 minutes to sunset, JEM is almost at final install position on the Node 2 Starboard CBM.

I think so, I remember seeing something in L2 docs. Also, putting a camera in Node 2 forward rings a bell somewhere in my head, not really sure if it can support it, but I seem to recall Destiny had one.

There will be some sort of cameras out there.  Whether or not they'll use them to cover dockings, I have no idea.  But that would be great!!

Reisman grabbing surgical masks and gloves for everyone entering the airlock to assist the spacewalkers in the event some SARJ debris comes back inside.

So close!  The JPL move on FD7 should be pretty impressive as well.
