Spacewalk PET 1 hour and 44 minutes.  Ron Garan moving from S1 toward Discovery's Payload Bay to prepare Kibo for an unberthing and installation on the port side of the Harmony connecting node.

@ Richard:  It does not bother me, your updates are very informative, much more than mine right now.  Thanks for all your work.  :)

The crew has been given a go to disconnect the heating umbilicals on the Kibo module.  The heaters have been turned off by the ground crew.

Thanks Ford, enjoying all the video stills you and the others are providing. I think we are on KU through West now, we were traveling near Z hence my confusion.

9 minutes to sunrise. 41 minutes to East handover.

The first of the launch electrical plugs for the Kibo module have been disconnected.

The OBSS was without power for an estimated 30 minutes.  A thermal clock could have given power for up to two hours, if needed.  The OBSS is in great shape, and the sensors should be in excellent shape, and will be checked out tomorrow during FD-5.

It sounds like the tigerskin on the gloves is working out.  Has anyone heard any comments about the gloves working better?

The SSRMS has been ungrappled, and the SRMS is now in control of the OBSS.

The first of the LTA cables for the JEM module has been disconnected, the OBSS was only without power for 30 minutes, it could survive without power for 2 hours, so it should be in good shape when it is turned on later. Mike is still releasing more LTA cables that provided power and heating to the JEM module while it was in the payload bay, the SSRMS has now backed away from the OBSS.

5 minutes to sunrise, complex passing due south of Sydney, Australia.

From L2, MMT handed information to show no Focused Inspections will be required. Discovery has a very clean TPS. Updated the current news article.

The LTA cables have been removed and stowed in a panel on the side of the payload bay. Ron's EVA gloves look good, Mike's EVA gloves are looking clean too, 1 minute to sunrise.

Now have shuttle KU, ISS KU available to us through West, excellent views of the EVAers from the rear of Discovery's payload bay.

53 minutes to sunset, 29 minutes to East handover.

Complex is approaching orbital noon (sun directly overhead the complex) and the EVAers are now about 30 minutes ahead of their timelines.
