Doesn't mean it's impossible.  It just means they won't sway from the dual pad option, as it's the safest and most sensible option they have.

Oh, yeah. I wasn't trying to imply it was impossible. :)

The amount of on-board video shot by this crew is astounding!

Reminds me of STS-117.  :)

If I remember right, they did their daily recaps.  Those were awesome, but I'd say this tops that.

Of course that's just my opinion.   :)

There's apparently a water leak in Discovery's galley.  Earlier I heard Mark say that it wasn't a big deal, but it was inconvenience enough to report it to Houston.

I heard that too earlier...losing around 8 ounces. They use a towel to soak it up and it saturates it. It appears to be coming from a 'needle', not sure to what he is referencing though. He asked that they look into it overnight (and later added not to lose sleep over it). Ground asked if it were the base or the tip I beleive, but he couldn't say where it was leaking from.

Eight ounces would be alot in a closed system...which this isn't yet of course.

I should add, I believe that's 'per day', which would end up being alot over time...

Even if that happened all mission long - we're still talking about that total being the amount of water consumed by one crewmember in a day or two...

It's an inconvenience.  Having to waste towels/washcloths on this is significant enough to try and trouble shoot it.

Sorry my brain fizzled there...intermixing ISS with Discovery...
On ISS, 8 ounces lost each day for a closed system would be alot (since it's potable water).

Per communications with the ground - it is something that will be investigated. I can't imagine any shuttle problems being ignored by the ground, no matter how small.

You should see L2 for some of the things they go all-out on :)

You're highlighting my point.  What I was attempting to say is that though the amount of water is small, it is still worth troubleshooting.

And yes, I'm somewhat familiar with L2.   ;)

Oh gosh, I appreciate the video playback of the hatch opening, but why are they interrupting the DPC?

didn't find it there (where I usually look) so I guess it wasn't recorded / uploaded.  Thanks.

Patience, Grasshopper.   ;)

It sometimes does take a little bit of time, but it'll be there.
