LIVE: STS-124 Flight Day 3 - RPM/Docking
« on: 06/02/2008 05:22 am »
Flight Day 2 coverage of STS-124:

FD-3 Article: http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/content/?cid=5438
(Docking/RPM - Airflow/CO2 Plan involving 41 feet of ducting - and notes on the serious pad damage).

Planned Flight Day 3 activities:

FD3: Docking, Rotate FE-2, EVA1 prep
– Standard rendezvous profile: RPM, +Vbar ISS rendezvous, PMA-2 docking (1:54pm EDT)
– RPM photo downlink
– FE-2 Seat Liner swap
– EVA1 prep and ISS A/L campout (10.2 psi) – Fossum and Garan.

Please note, this is interactive, but all posts need to be on topic. If you post images, no more than two per post.

PS You might be noting that the recent thread's have very low page views numbers. We're actually busier than ever, but the thread counter on this new forum appears to be VERY selective on who and when it counts visitors to pages!

Capcom Nick checking into a Master Alarm. Something relating to a lower setting on cabin pressure. Accidentially set to a higher setting it seems.

PSA #1:  Suppress forum auto-embed of Youtube videos by deleting leading 'www.' (four characters) in YT URL; useful when linking text to YT, or just to avoid bloat.
PSA #2:  Users who particularly annoy you can be suppressed in forum view via Modify Profile -> Buddies / Ignore List.  *** See profile for two more NSF forum tips. ***

I'm curious about the Pad damage....was there anything unique about this particular launch that might have caused this damage ??
