Initial imagery analysis shows no debris liberation during the 2m15s danger zone.

First debris assessment report.  Early imagery is 'no debris was liberated during the critical ascent portion, any debris was liberated after, and was not a major factor to the health of the TPS'.

I think this underlines how big Kibo is compared with other modules:
It's longer than Destiny, but Destiny is in the ballpark...

Good config for the burn, one minute away.  55 second burn.

Burn underway now, going well.  Now done, good burn, no trim required.

No replays from ET yet....did I mis-hear something?  I did.  Turns out they're going to downlink video they took of the ET after separation.  I thought I heard PAO say it was going to be downlinked around 9 PM Eastern.

Discovery now approaching L.A./Southern Cal/Baja California/Southwest US area.

I'll even excitedly look forward to "flags and footprints" and suborbital missions. Just fly...somewhere.

I was away for a couple of hours, thanks for the conference comments.

About the 'touchy' foam strike subject: it seems most of the debris came from the LOX feedline brackets, which have the new Ti design... wonder if that's a coincidence or some further refining of the brackets will be needed.

What worries me is not the potential for the debris impact to represent a risk to the orbiter (I'm referring to the one that happened when the commentator was announcing the proximity of negative return, the one which doesn't appear in Ford's great video, as it clearly was released after the dangerous times passed) but the potential for it to constitute a nuisance requiring FIs and deferring some much needed activities in ISS just to make sure it hasn't caused any critical damage.

ET Camera replays were replayed earlier (as well as all launch replays).  HQ ones are on L2, and are about 300MB.

Thanks, Ford Mustang.  I'll check out the L2 video shortly.

They're talking about the Group B power down now.
I'll even excitedly look forward to "flags and footprints" and suborbital missions. Just fly...somewhere.

Hard to tell from the video, as it was divided up into very short segments.
