It's not the 'Gimbal' itself. It's the secondary drive electronics and motor. No impact for a first failure. A second failure would prevent that OMS engine from being gimballed...I suspect this would mark the entire engine 'failed' apart from deorbit burns (need to check flight rules).However...no impact in the current situation.

Incorrect. Ill-informed media does not change the event. There will be nothing they can say to such media today. Everything gets evalauted and more will be known only after that.What we DO know, is it happened at T+3 minutes. This is very important, as already mentioned.Repeating it does not make it any more danagerous.
