Speaking of FDFs, the PRE-INGRESS SW RECONFIG, PAYLOAD ACTIVATION, and NAVAIDS ACTIVATION should have taken place by this point as per page 1-5 of the ascent checklist (available on L2).

Now 3 hours 20 minutes to the projected launch time, at that time, the ISS will be passing northeast of Nova Scotia, Canada about 1700 miles ahead of Discovery.

The pre-launch commentary today is excellent. Much more lively and knowledgable than past launch prep broadcasts. Good work NASA!

Now if we could just get a little graphic on the video during launch showing speed, altitude, and downrange, kind of like a NASCAR broadcast, we'd be in business!

Yes Allard Beutel, the KSC PAO is doing a great job for his first time doing a STS countdown, he will probably alternate with George Diller for KSC PAO duties for the remainder of the STS program launches.
