Is it just me or have the hatch markings been repainted this cycle?

Rick

I thought the same thing...

Looked pretty much the same to me, with the same GSE on the hatch for rollouts, but that was from the quick glances shown in the live video...what specifically looks different?

Some areas around the hatch look like new white paint has been used... But, the resolution of the two hatch pictures is not that good, maybe this is the wrong observation...

Maybe someone has a hi-def version of the hatch area at this rollout?

Also a shout out to the engineers that fixed the incline at the pad. I know it was a big L2 section, but it was mentioned in an article here too. Was a big mess at one point, just a week or so prior to rollout.

It may just be the early morning natural light but in the 'White Room Still' the 'Rescue' arrow and other yellow notices appear better defined and less worn than I have seen on previous flights.

Notices are no use unless they can be read - I note that someone regularly gets down under the train I use to get to work to wipe the crud off all the warning notices down near the track, they are sometimes clearer than the upper body of the carriage.

I thought the same thing. If you look at rollover pictures from the STS-120 mission and this one, you can see that they changed something.
Booster ignition and lift off!!

Picture of Discovery taken during rollover to VAB.  Notice the white area near decal.

Those would be thermal blankets that were R&Red during the flow.
