Looks like the oxygen vent cap is about to go down:

Most probably for inspections.  Will most likely go down for tanking later tonight after RSS Retraction.  I'll be covering that as the event unfolds, and will post a .GIF of it afterwards (as I always do).

The -Y OWPs have been retracted for RSS rotation later tonight:
"For Sardines, space is no problem!"
-1996 Astronaut class slogan

"We're rolling in the wrong direction but for the right reasons"
-USA engineer about the rollback of Discovery prior to the STS-114 Return To Flight mission

We'll be heading into the Launch/Flight Day 1 live coverage well ahead of tanking (which is a live console update event on L2, but will copy across the vitals into the open sections).

Only one question. Didn't look like there was more than five reporters there :(

Just a guess but a lot of reporters that cover the shuttle may be in Washington DC today covering the ISDC (International Space Development Conference).

That's the +Y side, FYI. The -Y is towards the FSS.

Certainly possible, but it would seemingly go against form.  The shuttle "beat writers" tend to follow operations and there's typically an independent Washington correspondent that files stories on NASA related activities inside the Beltway.

They are working a problem at present (we're still trying to get specifics), but it's being worked on tonight and currently is not a constraint to launch.

The public channel (and probably the media channel) has picked up a live pad shot...at least for the moment...

I noticed a couple of days ago on the NASA TV schedule of the RSS retract being broadcast then it was removed. Maybe they are going to air it. Very rare that they do.

Camera shot seems to be lined up for a shot of the Orbiter and MLP with RSS Retracted to PARK position.  If we do, however, happen to see it live, I will record and upload to a post here.

EDIT:  8:19 PM EDT - Camera switched to 070.  Will record either way.

Timing is often the key.  It's rare and at the same time it's been on several times since at least the beginning of this decade.

Looping through the pad cameras is much more unusual for the public broadcast; maybe they're getting some feedback from posters here...

If that's the case, PAO, use camera 060 in the replays and/or for actual launch!  :)

So far, I see two sets of lights on (one on each side of the stack):

Those may be stadium lights...remember what Robert Pearlman wrote a couple of counts back:
