Author Topic: Forum rules, plus note to all NASA people, contractors (USA, LockMart etc.) and military  (Read 28594 times)

Forum zero tolerance rules:
http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=716&start=1

To all NASA, Contractors and Military:

We obviously have a lot of United Space Alliance, NASA, Boeing, LockMart etc. people on the forum - but this has grown by a large percentage over the last few days.

I want to state that it is an integral rule on this site - controlled centrally by myself - to adhere to user confidentiality.

We will never reveal anyone's identity, pass on anyone's e-mail, or in anyway break confidentiality. I personally understand national security and export control - to which we will self-censor anything we believe to be a breach of the aforementioned, accidental or otherwise.

If you are military, please do not post your name, rank, base or location. The internet is a great resource, but we live in dangerous times.

Freedom of information is very important - and we encourage people involved in the space program to use this forum and converse with the many fans of your work. This notice is to confirm that you should be assured that youíre not compromising your own confidentiality (which has happened on other sites) by doing so.

If anyone has any questions, or requires a personal reassurance, please mail me at [email protected]

Thanks,
Chris.

Thanks, that was also important for those already here, with the increased amount of NASA people coming to the site.

Iím a bit of a newbie poster here after lurking for some time and your confidentiality policy is very reassuring.  That established, Iím Max Peck and I believe you have a room for me.

By the way, if you are in the space industry, you are welcome to let me know - as I'll upgrade you to L2.....given we have a vast amount of data and presentations coming in now - and you'll be useful for evaluating such data that is coming our way.

You don't need to go into detail on who you are - as per confidentiality.

Bumped due to literally hundreds of Lockheed Martin people on the site over the course of the day so far - and it's only early in Denver. Seems we've had an article linked on an internal newsletter of theirs.

*Waves at the LM people*

Lots more LM on line again. Someone mail me and let me know what articles are being linked on their internal site.

On the World Cup, yes I know everyone's excited (well, nearly everyone) but this is a pure space flight site only, nothing off topic, so I'm deleting some posts, sorry.

Please note we don't have "Hi I'm new" threads on this forum. They just clutter the place up. You're all welcome here, and feel free to post specific questions - after you've searched to see if there's a thread already in exsistance.

We're getting a number of people using e-mail addresses to join the forum that are bouncing.

Your e-mail must be valid.

I've been here awhile but thanks. Not even allowed on GlobalSecurity.org anymore, but yours and Clark Lindsey's have become my two favorite space sites.

Ah, I don't mean it in the "flightless" sense.  More just the black and white bird thing.  I hope to see a penguin fly tomorrow, for sure.

Does that mean that if we're space industry we get bumped to L2 for free?

You need to e-mail Chris, otherwise anyone could simply say they are NASA etc. There are a LOT of NASA, LM, USA, Boeing etc. on L2
