For those who PM'ed me with bids and others who may be still interested, I will stop taking bids at the end-of-day on Friday 14 Nov. for the LTT + lunch with a astronaut. Last call!

I've booked my plane tickets to FL for the May 12th launch. Hoping to see Atlantis head due east in a clear blue sky. (And have a halfway decent small digital camera with a good zoom - maybe my 5 megapixel Fuji will do? It's only got a 3x zoom and it's been malfunctioning on me a lot lately and I may be shopping around for a replacement).
This would be my third shuttle launch viewing, all of them watching OV-104 Atlantis lift off.

Same here (actually booked flights/hotel last week after the launch). I went for 10-24 may to bracket both dates just in case

From what I read, take only one or two shots - and then enjoy the launch! Let the pros with better access/equipment take the money shots. You're travelling a long way for 2 mins - enjoy those 2 mins!

Does anybody know if one will be able to see both Atlantis and Endeavour on the pads from Titusville?

Hi everyone... total noob when it comes to watching shuttle launches, and also likely not as informed about NASA spaceflight in general.
I was wondering if there's still any way of buying tickets for STS-125, or were those already sold out last year in anticipation of the October 2008 launch? I can't find any way to buy tickets on the "official" web site, nor any mention that the tickets are sold out. Any help would be appreciated--just a few minutes' looking around makes it clear that the folks here have expertise in abundance.
It'd be particularly nice to see this launch since a family member is a NASA contractor whose team did work for this mission; she actually had a VIP ticket for the original October launch (not sure about this time around, unfortunately).
Thanks!

Yeah, but you won't be able to see much. When the RSS is covering the vehicle, there's obviously not much to see, and when the RSS is retracted, it blocks the view of the vehicle from Titusville. So all you'll see is the top part of the ET.

Orange, as I understand it the tickets for STS-125 are sold out. But someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I look forward not just to the launch but to seeing two shuttles on two pads...when I took the bus tour of several facilities (the viewing area by Pad 39A, the space station processing facility, etc.) I was able to see Atlantis about 30 hours before her very late afternoon launch on STS-117, with the RSS still wrapped around the orbiter.
Question for everyone: if I take the KSC tour buses again (and I will), how close can I expect to get to Pad 39B?
Also for all of us visiting for this launch, don't forget about seeing those new 600 foot tall lightning towers! Those will make the Pad 39B area very hard to miss.

People seem to be booking their spots for this one already, so here's the associated thread.
Hi Chris,
I couldn't find the thread you were referring to. Thanks,

Question - Is there any way for the public to see a rollover? I'll be in Florida around the time of Endeavour's LON-400 rollover to the VAB, and it'd be cool to see.

Looking for 2 adult and 1 child LTT tickets for May 12th launch. (Was expecting to see an e-mail from KSC regarding purchase next month and hadn't considered that these already went on sale once and are already sold out - at least according to previous posts.)
Please let me know if you cannot make the launch and would like to sell.
Thanks,
Craig

If there's a shuttle on both pads A & B then the closes the Up Close bus tour will go is the observation gantry where the crawlerway splits.

I believe LTT is causeway and VIP is Banana Creek.

I've got 4 KSC VC LTTs (and vehicle placard) for STS-125 that I'm considering parting with. I don't really want to deal with splitting them up, though.
