Now moving into the ZOE (zone of exclusion) for about the next 16 minutes, we have KU through TDRS-Z right now, sunset is now! we may get S-band video stills and mixed KU coverage for the next 20 - 25 minutes or so.

Stan is asked by either Leland or Alan how the view is while he (Stan) is being moved slowly to ESP-2: His response 'Dark'

Now in orbital night, sunrise in 28 minutes, Rex will install one handrail and maybe two on Columbus during this time.
Halfway through this ZOE pass, 9 minutes to West coverage. Complex passing southwest of India over the Indian Ocean.

Now at a PET of 2:55, the next task, the removal and storage of the failed CMG from ESP-2 to the ICC-L is time lined for about 1:50 minutes, EVA is currently 20 minutes behind in the time line, optimistic they can catch up. Now moving into West comm, 17 minutes to sunrise.

Loss of KU through TDRS-Z due to blockage, expect periods of S-band video and KU for the next 15 - 20 minutes as move away from TDRS-Z and start to move more under TDRS-West KU comm coverage, this is normal for every orbit.
PET is almost 3:00, Rex is finishing the handrail tasks, a few handrails will be installed later, and Stan is being moved to ESP-2 for the CMG removal.

Thanks, I thought I misheard that, it is tough to watch & listen to NASA-TV, look a satellite tracking program and transcribe and type what I hear at the same time.

Please bear with me with any mistakes I make, I'm doing the best I can juggling these three things at once

Sorry for all the text updates right now but I cannot provide any screen shots while providing comm coverage, hopefully someone can continue to provide screen shots when KU resumes, I can only do 3 things at time, 4 would be really pushing it

The EVAers are at ESP-2 and they are removing the clamshell thermal cover from the failed CMG that has been stored on ESP-2 since STS-118 last August, this thermal cover kept it "warm" while it was stored there. 36 minutes to East handover, 54 minutes to sunset.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm in Southern Ontario like you in Toronto, no place I would rather be than here providing coverage to our fellow NSFers, while it is freezing cold outside.

Thanks Ckiki, you have done a great job this morning with the screen shots

Hopefully someone can take over when you have to leave, or this is going to be a very boring thread with my updates

We have KU back through West, complex is passing over the south central Pacific Ocean on a northeast pass, the EVAers are unbolting the failed CMG that failed in October 2006 and that was placed on the ESP-2 in August 2007.
28 minutes to East handover, 46 minutes to sunset, the EVAers has made up some time on the time line, we are coming up to a PET of 3:30
Stan is reporting some RTV lifting off from his left thumb of this glove, no vectran damage is seen.
