GSLV D3 and its satellite are in Sriharikota. The news reports in my previous post confirm the delay and its cause. ISRO has put this out.
But my understanding is that the satellite was ready and could have been launched. It was heading for final vibration when the booster issues were discovered. They then decided to fix a couple of hardware issues.
They are so panicky because of the booster issue that they are starting to throw passengers out to have a wider mass margin. TAUVEX is a candidate for removal.
Multiple payloads may be thrown off. I would not be surprised if Gagan is the only one left because of the financial implications of removing it.

Looks like there are some other nanosatellites...may be from UTIAS or ISIS...as per ISIS launch page they have slots on 635KM(cartosat-2b) pslv launch...UTIAS doesn't have such a slot....
what about nano satellites from university of toronto as per the media reports...then...does any one have any information..?

Here's the important news...
GSLV MKIII solid booster....The S200 motor is scheduled to be tested tomorrow around 06:30 AM IST(India Time) here at SDSC SHAR.
The Chairman was refering to this motor test ...He was indeed misquoted.

There were some comments from ISRO a while back (sorry don't have the link) that suggested that the cryo engine would not be used much in the future.

I don't think its a sample return mission. From what i understand, the ISRO chief says the sample collected by rover will be analysed and result returned to the orbier and to the earth.
hope i am right.

Anyone heard about the decision on GSAT-4? The big meeting was supposed to be last Friday (Jan. 29).

Tauvex is semi-officially off GSAT-4. Still no decision on where it goes.
