But ISRO plans to use PSLVs regularly...evident from the fact that it has asked government funding for launches upto PSLV C24...which it got.
When was this funding approved?

Hope I need not answer the above question regarding the funding...?
The Hindu newspaper article confirms it.
PSLV C14 Campaign to start on May 5....Launch expected in mid-June.

GSAT-4+TAUVEX IN 3 MONTHS....POSSIBLE...
OCEANSAT-2 ACCORDING TO BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE IS PLANNED FOR END JUNE(JUNE 20s TO BE EXACT)...
ISRO IS HAVING 3 VEHICLES ALONG WITH SATS READY...AND TO SAY EVEN BEFORE MID OF A YEAR...THAT THEY WILL LAUNCH ONLY 3 MORE IS PRE-MATURE.
IF U LOOK CAREFULLY...THE ARTICLE I GAVE AND THE ARTICLE U PUT POINT TO THE SAME LECTURE GIVEN BY ISRO CHIEF....AND HE WAS REFERRING TO UPCOMING LAUNCHES WITHIN THE NEXT THREE MONTHS.
IF ALL GOES WELL I EXPECT ISRO TO LAUNCH 3 PSLVs(C14,C15,C13) AND 1 GSLV (D3) BY THE END OF YEAR...AND ONE MORE PSLV BY THE END OF THIS FINANCIAL YEAR(APRIL 2010).

Wow, you folks have put a lot of effort in compiling all this info, I dont think it is available anywhere else.
thank you Stan Black,johnxx9,isro-watch ,input~2,Satori
ISRO sure comes up with surprises! See this ---------------
India to Launch 1st IRNSS Satellite by December
http://www.asmmag.com/news/india-to-launch-1st-irnss-satellite-by-december-
and we all were only talking about 3 launches this year ...................
Lets see!

IRNSS in 2009 is really strange considering...
1. PSLV-HP has to be made first. No ground tests reported.
2. The launch log is already full.
3. But a launch in this financial year 2009-10 cannot be ruled out.
Can a xl config PSLV put a IRNSS sat....considering 1320kg and 250*25000 orbit???
The article says GAGAN is on G-SAT-4 is this true?

PSLV-XL had put the Chandrayaan-1 which weighed 1,380 kg into a 255 X 24,000 km orbit. So I think it should be able to put the 1,370 kg IRNSS into a 250 X 24,000 orbit. I am pretty sure XL can do it as it had put Chandrayaan-1 into an almost identical orbit.

Yes, I expect them to use xl version for IRNSS.
