To isro-watch, john:
To confirm, as isro-watch already pointed out, the ISILaunch01 cluster will be launched along with Oceansat-2 to a 720km Sun Synchronous Orbit. I do not know the origin of the confusion with the 41 degree launch, but this inclination is not suitable for (most of) the four auxiliary satellites on board.
Currently, the launch is scheduled still for end of April, pending the status and success of the preceding launch late this month. As soon as we have a launch date, we will announce this on our campaign overview page.
The satellites will be transferred to the launch site after this month's launch.

PSLV LAUNCH IS SCHEDULED ON MARCH 30/APRIL 7 ...OCEANSAT BY END-APRIL/EARLY MAY
i have not been able to confirm the sats(...will revert back to u soon on it...)
but probably it is RISAT + ANUSAT as indicated in the press...
will PSLV have enough trust to carry a 1780kg RISAT and 34kg ANUSAT.... a combined weight of above 1800kg in a XL config....??!!??
************************************************************
as the PSLV scheduled to carry OCEANSAT-2 is now being called PSLV C14... SO that makes another PSLV (pslv c13) ready for flight...some of my sources point to a upcoming foreign sat launch...clear picture to emerge in coming days...
so by july'09 (adding 2 months for delays..by SEMPTEMBER '09)
We may have...
PSLV C12 RISAT+ANUSAT
PSLV C14 OCEANSAT-2+
PSLV C13 MEGHA(

)
GSLV D3 GSAT-4+TAUVEX

There seems to be a small ISRAELI nano satellite along with RISAT and ANUSAT.... any information about the sat is welcome.

read this article...I am shocked and confused at this...this comes from a very well known reporter who
quotes very highly placed sources and is always 100% correct in his reports...
The present government will be doing a political suicide if this report is indeed true.
I am sure that there is one israeli satellite...many israeli seen around here too...when asked of
the satellite one person just told me that the israeli sat has some thing to do with research on polar regions...
and that it is a nanosat...!!!!!!

maybe the whole reports in the media in the month of febraury were just an eyewash...and ISRO
may be launching an ISRAELI satellite under the pretext of a RISAT launch...note that INDIAN RISAT-1
is a round 1750kg in weight and cannot be launched by a core- alone configuration of PSLV. Further
the sudden postponement of OCEANSAT-2 to a launch on PSLV C14 instead of PSLV C12 when the launch vehicle was already being assembled adds to my suspicion.

I've heard that the satellite is RISAT-2, which was built by Israel for India. RISAT-1 is the Indian built satellite, which will be launched later this year.

YES THE SAT IS BEING CALLED RISAT-2...AND IT IS AROUND THE SAME WEIGHT AS TECHSAR...300Kg.
NOTE THAT RISAT-1 IS 1750kg AND RISAT-2 IS TO FLY ON A PSLV CORE ALONE VERSION WITH A MAX CAPACITY OF 1000KG ONLY.
MAY BE THIS IS THAT 40 DEG INCLINATION LAUNCH WE HAD TALKED OF IN THSI FORUM.
CURRENT TEMPORARY LAUNCH DATE : APTRIL 7/8.
THIS WEBSITE PUTS THE DATE AS APRIL 6TH
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/First-student-made-satellite-to-take-off-in-April/articleshow/4298341.cms***********************************
THE RISAT-1 WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A RESOLUTION OF ONLY 3m...BUT THIS ISRAELI RISAT-2 HAS A RESOLUTION OF 1m.
I HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THIS WAS PART OF TECHSAR LAUNCH AND THIS IS THE SAT (A CLONE OF TECHSAR) WHICH WAS GIVEN TO INDIA BY ISRAEL IN RETURN FOR A TECHSAR LAUNCH.

Report: India, France to launch weather satellite early next year
www.chinaview.cn 2009-03-27 15:09:19
NEW DELHI, March 27 (Xinhua) -- India and France will jointly launch early next year a weather satellite to monitor air and water movements over the tropic areas of the world, said local newspaper Mail Today Friday.
The satellite, Megha Tropiques, will gather comprehensive tropical weather data related to the global warming, said the report.
"Megha Tropiques will be capable of studying cloud systems, radiation, water vapor and temperature and humidity in our troposphere on a more frequent basis," the report quoted an unnamed spokesperson from Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)as saying.
The French space agency, Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales, is collaborating with ISRO in the project, said the report.
Megha Tropiques will carry four scientific payloads and be placed in an orbit 800 km above the equator, according to the report.

Can we assume that the OceanSat-2 launch was also delayed?

Here is an article in today's newspaper confirming what I said...though I am skeptical about the reason given. I was informed that Israeli Technicians who were working on the sat...left for Israel for some reason.
http://www.hindu.com/2009/04/05/stories/2009040555401800.htmsatori...
I am not sure of that...ISRO has two pads and has divided the teams evenly...so even if one project is slow, I don't think there is any reason to stop the other one..But a April end launch of Oceansat-2 is doubtful.
