There is a report on NDTV saying there has been a launch from Shriharikotta. No ISRO confirmation, though. So, has Polaris reached the orbit?

the techsar sat was launched in full secrecy, with media informed only after the launch...the launch was precise and on time...
even the media briefing was by antrix rather than isro...
can anyone plz comment on the new satellite names at the end of the article below...

Mr. Sridhara Murthy said ISRO would launch three customers’ payloads in 2008. They included a cluster of three nano satellites from the Netherlands to meet educational objectives and to test miniaturisation and a new software and another nano satellite weighing 14 kg from the University of Toronto for surveying radio frequency.
the above paragraph is quite confusing by all those names...comment?
is that cluster of nano-sats different from delfic3?

ISRO may get more satellite launch contractsISRO’s arm Antrix Corporation may be snapping up some more satellite launch contracts from global customers.
The ISRO Chairman, Dr G. Madhavan Nair, indicated as much.
“We expect that in the near term, two major contracts will come through. We have already signed a contract for half a dozen small satellites,” he told Business Line. The small or nanosats have been built by Canadian and Dutch universities.
One of the prime but domestic contracts, which may be coming up in February, is Cartosat-2A. Mr Nair said the spacecraft, built at the Bangalore satellite centre, “has just been shifted today”. The earth observation satellite is a Ministry of Defence mission, with no details coming from ISRO.He was speaking from Chennai hours after a PSLV rocket put an Israeli reconnaissance satellite, the 300-kg TecSAR/ Polaris, into orbit from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
There are reports that the launch contracts of two more upcoming TecSARs may also be coming to Antrix. Mr Nair merely said, “They [Israel] are happy with this launch perfect. If they come with a request for any other launch, we will have to see the merit of the case, if it is attractive and comes with a good price, etc.”Mr Nair admitted a delay in the launch of TecSAR. “We had some technical problems around September-October. By the time we resolved them, we got into the severe monsoon period of Sriharikota.”

hinduThe launch of Indo-Russian micro-satellite YouthSat – originally scheduled for the first quarter of this year – has been postponed to 2008-end
Did I just miss this sat in the schedule? Sounds interesting though, a Russian-Indian sun observing satellite

Do you know how many time do they need to prepare the PSLV-XL for launch after arriving at the Satish Dawan Space Center?

The PSOM-XL motor which will replace the older strap-ons was static tested around 2 times....i think that it may take 2-3 months for a launcher to be stacked up...the first stage and third stage is made at SDSC-SHAR....so it depends on the other two stages arriving here...
april 9th looks a remote possibility as of now...but there is still 2 months...so may be and i hope they spped up things and stick to that date...nowthat the first launch pad is free...with the launch of PSLV C10

So, it is possible that soon we might have the news of a delay for the Chandrayaan-1 mission?
