The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) will launch its second moon mission ‘Chandrayaan-2’ carrying an orbiter on January 3 next year. It will be launched by GSLV-MK-III.
Isro chairman K Sivan said it is going to be hectic days ahead for the organisation. "We will have series of launches-18 missions in the next six months. These include GSLV-MkIII-D2/GSAT-29 Mission, scheduled to be launched in December 2018, and Chandrayaan-2, that will be launched on January 3.

I'm wondering if that December launch date for GSLV Mark 3 D-2 is a misquote. After the launch of the PSLV C-42, none of the ISRO speakers said anything about December, one of them referred to the mission as the next top priority. Meaning pretty soon after the just completed mission of PSLV C-42. I'm sure I even heard "15 days" by one of the ISRO persons who got up and spoke. And another website is still reporting early October.

The launch rate other the next several months will require simultaneous launch processing using both the FLP and SLP, yes?
Apologies if this was answered before: How many LV's can be processed simultaneously in the new SVAB?

"India has the world's second largest internet user base. But, our present broadband speed is 76th in the world. Isro has already launched GSAT-19 in June 2017. This year, Isro will launch GSAT-11 and GSAT-29 and early next year, GSAT-20 will be launched. All these are high throughput satellites and together they will provide more than 100 Gbps high bandwidth connectivity across the country which will help bridge the digital divide," said Sivan while addressing the convocation as the chief guest.

http://www.claws.in/images/events/pdf/353463386_BoseSpaceMilitarisation.pdfThe primary defense satellites are GSAT 7 which went into orbit in 2013. This Satellite caters to the requirements of the Navy. In 2018, GSAT 7A will be operationalised which is primarily an IAF satellite, with 30 per cent stake of the Army. Thereafter, GSAT 7B is planned, which will be primarily an Army satellite.

TNN | Oct 4, 2018, 08.14 PM IST
BENGALURU: January 30, and not January 3 as Isro had earlier indicated, will be the most optimal date for the launch of Chandrayaan-2, India’s second mission to the Moon.
...
TOI has reliably learnt that the committee looked at January 3, January 30, and February 14. After all deliberations, it was said: “January 30 will be a good option for Chandrayaan-2 launch since there is a 27 kg propellant advantage with respect to January 3 launch.”
