Is there any timetable for the launch of GLONASS-M by GSLV?
There will not be launches of GSLV rockets with Glonass-M satellites... Forget about it...

According to current schedule, all future Glonass-M satellites (six in 2008, six in 2009, six in 2010, three in 2011) will be launched by Proton-M rockets...
The first four Glonass-K satellites (two in 2010, two in 2012) will be launched by Soyuz-2 rockets... Glonass-K satellites can be launched by GSLV rockets, but it is unknown (for me, at least) when it will be and whether it will be at all...

Our sorce has indicated that some satellites that will be launched on C9 didn't yet arrived to India, so the launch will take place in February.

I'm sceptical on any GLONASS-M launches by GSLV. But there is a article in the lates HAL newsletter which has some interesting news:
Aerospace Division added another feather to its cap with the handing over of the documents of the First Payload Assist Module for GSLV MK-II Rocket (PAM-G). The papers were formally handed over by Mr R. Srinivasan GM (SP) to Mr V. Ganesan, Project Director PAM-G of ISRO. The structure is made of composite materials and will be used at the fourth stage of
propulsion for putting the 1400-kg Russian satellite 'Glonassm' into medium earth orbit
of about 19,100 km.

Just to avoid confusion: this PAM-G (Payload Assist Module) has nothing to do with the US PAM solid fuel upper stages. It is in fact a modified liquid-fueled fourth stage of the PSLV rocket.

hi all,
I would appreciate it if anyone can shed more light on the following:
Is there any news about a launch date for the MKIII version of GSLV??? I am guessing that it will be 2009 at the earliest...
Also, is it likely that the GSLV MKII, with the "indigenous" upper stage, gets launched this year?
Cheers,
tesh
