I am agree with the views of ASTUTE user and I believe that Gonets' puzzle.Previous launch of Gonets-M satellite, which was the first one in the series of modified spacecraft of the Gonets series, took place in December 2005 (Rodnik).
I can't see any "name puzzle". Military just want to have all credits from success of those sats and the launch, so they put it in the their name-list. Just a little bureaucracy stuff.

Not only get all credits, but a Cosmos name is a best cover if something goes wrong.
According to Novosti kosmonavtiki forum, OAO ISS (former NPO PM) enterprise has officially informed Novosti kosmonavtiki magazine that Kosmos-2437, Kosmos-2438 and Kosmos-2439 are not Gonets-M satellites.
I have changed the name of this thread for avoidance of confusion.

Then they are most likely Rodnik satellites (military Gonets-M versions), or older Strela-3.
Hi!
It's very odd . I've visited Space-track site just to compare orbital parameters of both Rodnik (Cosmos 2416) and Cosmos-2437, Cosmos-2438 and Cosmos-2439. As a matter of course they are similar.

The US strategic command deleted from their designation figures 2437, 2438, 2439. Now they are just Cosmos.
Also Their ID numbers were changed. Cosmos 2437 was under 32953. Now It's the YUBILEINY sat.
