A discussion point....are we a little bit go feverish here? The WLESS and upgraded ET imagery were return to flight upgrades, should we really not be talking time out to fix these for this mission?

Don't forget that the OBSS is still available. Then we have the usual RPM on docking day, both very usefull TPS breach inspection tools. So both more than make up for the immediate unavailability of the ET photos and the WLEIDS.

As what Dave said. Imagery and Radar on ascent. OBSS on orbit and still a chance they can dump the data into ISS and then to the ground from the sensors.

Also, don't forget about the ET camera that looks right down on one of the wings.

Yay! I'm British too. Slightly off topic, but I noticed that Greg Johnson (STS-123 PLT) is British aswell...

Have they gotten to weather yet? I'm not in a position to have a streaming feed from NASA.

He sounds South African, if I'm going on his accent.

Looks good for the first attempt. Gets worse if there's scrubs.

He actually said, 'it's hard for a Brit to be excited' when talking about Columbus launching...

As was noted here last week, but was elaborated on in response to Bill Harwood's question, both the shuttle and station programs are favoring launch attempts that protect 11+2+2 options (with, as noted here earlier, different powerdown levels). Leroy Cain said that they can accommodate 11+2+2 with four attempts in five days (though he didn't say three in a row).
(And then the remainder of the discussion was a nice primer, but also repeated from previous countdown briefings.)

Todd Halvorson asked about Atlantis' status after STS-125 and where the money would come from...Leroy Cain says they're looking at options and he doesn't know where the money would come from.
(Basically nothing new.)

Todd's on L2, so he should know the answers to his question on OMDP for Atlantis. I assume he wants an official on quote or something.
