hyper_snyper - 7/11/2007 7:11 PMHow will 1J rank in terms of heaviest shuttle payloads?
psloss - 7/11/2007 7:22 PMOverall, not close to Chandra/AXAF + IUS, but that went to 28.5.

Lee Jay - 8/11/2007 12:57 AMIsn't this also the one flying without an OBSS on-board at launch, because of clearances?
Chris Bergin - 7/11/2007 7:27 PMQuoteLee Jay - 8/11/2007 12:57 AMIsn't this also the one flying without an OBSS on-board at launch, because of clearances?Yep.The mission baseline on L2 (by the way, we got another just a week or so ago, added a day to the mission) shows they pick up the OBSS and do inspections afterwards. No FD2 inspections.
nathan.moeller - 7/11/2007 7:48 PMVery exciting. Besides Kibo itself, the JEM EF/ES looks to be quite a monster as well! Looks like the 2J/A flight will be quite busy, too. That's STS-127, correct?

It's the extra added experiment modules hanging off the edges that make them look a lot larger.
Lee Jay - 7/11/2007 9:56 PMFound it! (L2 is a bit like drinking from a fire hose).
Maverick - 7/11/2007 11:14 PMQuoteLee Jay - 7/11/2007 9:56 PMFound it! (L2 is a bit like drinking from a fire hose). They should use that quote! The cloud makes it easy though, especially when the are adding cool stuff faster than you can read it! CLick cloud, click STS-124, click "PRCB: STS-124 Mission Duration Change in the FDRD - Oct 25, 07." download
Justin Space - 8/11/2007 6:20 PMSure is a big module. Is it the same size as anything else on the ISS?
DaveS - 9/11/2007 12:27 PMDoes anyone know if Discovery is inside the OPF yet(I suppose she is)?
