With the deorbit burn completed, the crew is now committed to a landing at KSC.

This will be the second consecutive mission with a first attempt launch and a first attempt landing. Go Discovery!

Forgive me, but I thought Wayne Hale said that it would take more propellant for the deorbit on the descending node trajectory. Did this include the burn they did yesterday? I guess I'm confused since the Deorbit burn was only 1min 53seconds long when Endeavour's on STS-118 (an ascending node trajectory) was 3min 33seconds long.

STS 118 had the SpaceHab, this one has pretty much nothing in the PLB...

That's "all things being equal," which they aren't with 118...

STS 118 burn was slightly out of plane if i remember rightly to burn off more propellent so would have been a longer burn

Also there was a 100 fps burn yesterday to readjust the orbit.
