Fishing for angles...Griffin giving a non-answer answer to ranking this mission as #1 -- don't forget about Skylab.

Good points from Gerst that this is a learning process while we are hours from home instead of days/months away in space.
Hoping for a future of NASA manned spaceflight

Griffin on the aesthetics of the landing: "it was just as pretty as it gets -- if that matters."

During the entry, PAO said Discovery was 85,000 pounds lighter than at liftoff.  Obviously there was the Node and a bit of transfer (~40,000 pounds?), plus some OMS and RCS propellant, and of course cryo, but this number surprised me.  Is that number correct, and if so, where did all of it go?

They're replaying all of the flight day highlights for the mission.  Did Kylie stay up for two weeks or something?  Aside from Lynette coming in occasionally, it seems like she was the only PAO on console the whole time.

Looks as if Pam stopped her right on the centreline :-)
I think they all take advantage of nose-wheel steering, if afforded it. :)

I asked Mark Polansky about how important it is for the commander that he/she hits the centerline, for their own pride if nothing else. He told me that he didn't care that much about where he touched down, but where he stopped since that is the picture they'd get. The trick for the commanders is to be so gentle with the nose wheel steering that noone notices that they were off the centerline in the first place

Watch the threshold camera.  TD was drifted of to the right a little. Keep watching and see the orbiter 'get centered' after the drag chute comes out.

BTW- watching the random views on the KAVE channels, Discovery has been towed thru a 180 and is heading to the barn.

FYI, just for the moment they are showing runway video on NTV...and oddly with audio from the post-landing conference...

(And it's gone again.)

Yeah; I wish they'd make more mistakes like that...my guess is that they're getting set up for the crew briefing...and as I speak the live video is back...they're turning off the runway now...

Still showing it... I have a hard time believing they're towing Discovery that quickly.  ;)

It looks like the camera froze or they lost the video stream temporarily.

Switched to VAB cam (I think) and it looks a bit blustery up there.

OMS prop is near 25k lbs

Last we heard on NASA TV was that they're were targeting 6:30 pm EST but it might end up cancelled or delayed.
