Aborts modes?  Don't go EVA or return to the LM.  Not many tother choices.  The buddy umbilical could help with leaks.   The limit on the distance the rover could be away from the LM was the walking distance the crew could go to return if the rover crapped out

I mean during EVA. I asume there is always a certain leakrate so is ther an abort if the leakrate exceeds a certain number. I guess this could apply to water/battery also

I would imagine that if any problem was detected they would haul it back to the LM immediately. Anything bad could quickly get worse, so they wouldn't have stayed out.

'any problem' would not be the right statement here I guess. There were several problems during lunar EVA's and there were no aborts. I wonder if anybody has som insight on the mision rules in that period. I can imagine that for example a rise in leak rate to a certain level would call for an abort but at what level of failure of a system would they have called for an abort.
