Sep burn complete...(SEP 1)

I was staring hard to see if any flash occurred at ignition or shutdown, as it often does with the OMS/RCS due to momentarily prop flow mismatch. But I didn't see a thing. Anybody else 'see' any indications of the sep burn?

Wasn't obvious on my rubbish connection to NASA TV. Hopefully someone with a fancy TV feed will comment.

Station has taken attitude control.

Obviously then, the Russian (or are they, in fact, German?) computers are working without problems.
They have been working fine since they were fixed in June.

Which segment was controlling US or Russian.  If US, then those computers weren't use

Actually, they have only been working well since August, when they were replaced

Computers were not replaced... Only BOK-3 unit and cables were replaced...

For those who dont remember, the MMOD impact observed during the mission was on Discovery's port wing.. so watch out for port panel 1, when they start scanning that wing.
In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is !

Now a view from the LDRI [Laser Dynamic Range Imager] on the end of the OBSS.

Yep. Panel 1L. Remember, it was an indication, via the WLE IDS (Wing Leading Edge, Impact Detection System). These sensors are really sensistive. An engineer once noted if you sneezed near one, it'd register (though I think he was pulling my leg).

This 1L indication was three times higher than the previous max, but still 50 percent less than the point (we understand) that engineers start worrying about visible damage.

Will be 'fun' to look out for it, but we won't really get to see anything near the level of detail the data will collate for those on the ground, via NASA TV.

Probably nothing of concern here, but there's a white dot on the panel.

Certainly is interesting, but only a dot.

Hmm, what's this white thing sticking out? (Or is it just the tile?)

Gapfiller notcied on FD2 is still there:
"For Sardines, space is no problem!"
-1996 Astronaut class slogan

"We're rolling in the wrong direction but for the right reasons"

It's a tile gapfiller. Noticed during the OBSS scans on FD2.

I figured so, but did not want to jump to incorrect conclusions.

They've taken a break from the inspection video, and have shown the Expedition 16 crew closing the thermal cover on hatch on the Destiny Module.

Newbie here!
What thread on this site will be used to monitor the action of the node 2 Harmony relocation now that the shuttle has departed from ISS?   Also, approximatly when will that relocation occur?

Is the thermal cover always there when PMA-2 is not in use or is it being placed there soley for the purpose of the PMA-Harmony relocation?
