ckiki lwai - 3/11/2007  5:58 PM   Because when Orion first flies Scott will be almost 55 years old ;)

True, but Deke Slayton was 51 when he flew in ASTP

And John Glenn was 77 when he flew on STS-95 :)

Anyways I tought Scott was a bit younger

Deke and John are not valid comparisons.  Musgrave would be

dawei - 3/11/2007  6:43 AM]The camera was left outside after EVA 3 (by mistake).
So what happened to it - they just had to leave it there?

Is that the one they used today?

The tool will gradually lose altitude and eventually re-enter and burn up.  The ISS would do the same except it will receive an altitude boost from time to time via rocket thrusters.

So what stops it re-entering? - just not at the right speed and angle?

Thanks

Ian

Nothing stops it; it will re-enter the atmosphere and burn up.

All this over a frayed wire, known about during the fun and games to fold up the arrays...  something was dropped in the plan to deploy. But all is well at the end of the day, heres to a safe landing... also noted that once the command, in the EVA was established, things where a lot faster, and efficient... and not everyone was talking over each other.. the tension level, just dropped.. quite amazing..

Just wondering if there was any way to add a power grapple fixture in the future to the S5 and P5 truss extenders that would allow the Station arm to offload itself from the MT and thus extend the reach of that arm ??. Hindsight being what it is, seems to be a bit of a shortcoming that the Station arm doesn't reach to all the extremes locations of the station ....
