MCC wants them outside for the deploy....

Offline Bubbinski

Big picture: Houston would like astronauts out there for the deploy but they'll see about the consumables after the repair is done.
I'll even excitedly look forward to "flags and footprints" and suborbital missions. Just fly...somewhere.

Houston would like to have them out there for the deploy.

Scott saw the inboard guide wire had curled outboard, because it's slack and it didn't retract completely. Good news for the deploy, according to Pam :)

That doesn't sound like it's going to work to stay out for any deploys; they're pretty much at that point now.  Thought they were budgeting closer to 7 hours...

Anyone know why cufflink #5 and #3 are matched in holes but 3 is a "long" and 5 is a "medium"?

They said that, if they lagged behind too much with the remaining cufflinks (back then only 2 were installed), they could leave the 5th, but obviously it was better if they could put it in place.

I understood that the total time would be approx 7 hours if they started bringing them back at 4 hours 50 min. Perhaps I misunderstood.....

They want all 5, but were willing to forego #5 if they ran out of time.
