I heard the EVA doesn't actually start for 40 minutes. What's that mean?

edit: I mean, I thought end of depress meant you disembark and start EVA.

My mistake - meant prebreathe (corrected).

After prebreathe comes the depress procedure steps.

I wonder why they have never tried sending 2 out the US side and send 2 more out the russian side? They have 10 people up there. Seems to me they could get twice as much done that way. Im sure there is a reason why they dont but I have no idea why....Can anyone enlighten me on that?

Why would you like to do that? It only makes things more complicated. You'ld need an even more complex coreography (not messing up the tethers, coordinate tasks, ....).

And I would prefer a US spacesuit, because they are more comfortable. ;)

Russian suits are easier to get into and out of, but more difficult to work in (higher internal pressure makes the joints and gloves stiffer).

I wonder what it feels like to lose 2 PSI in a "woosh."

Only 0.5 psi at hatch opening.  ;)
(still a small whoosh that sometimes blows the outer cover open, though)
