Maybe they should have deployed with more pauses, like the P5 en S5

Are you saying the deploy method is the reason it ripped? I hadn't heard that conclusion announced yet...

Not the cause, but there would have been a (small) chance that they had seen it coming

And yes DaveS I meant P4 and S4 thanks

It probabbly not one for them to go fix on this mission, maybe the next mission will be the one to have a proper look and use the OBSS as the extended work platform.

If they find a eureka moment with the SARJ issue and can get it fixed, how soon could the S6 be ready to fly?

Apparently they got some HD footage of the tear occuring but they would have to look very closely to see it occuring. I think they're going to downloaded it later.

Was the tear seen on the live feed? I was looking away at work at that point though I did see some flake-like debris sometime after the event...

Yeah they left the camera (with the flash?) on the toolbox outside the airlock.  Too bad it's not that easy to just jump out and pick it up again ;)

I certainly didn't see it.  Seemed to me to appear totally out of the blue.

I'd be worried if they where assembling the station with hammers!
Was actually the 'camera with the flash' which they believe is near the equipment lock

EDIT: Sorry my slow connection put me abit behind the conversation there

Is the camera secured or inside something?  How far along are the crew with taking off their suits, can one of them go back and get it?
I'll even excitedly look forward to "flags and footprints" and suborbital missions. Just fly...somewhere.

in relation to the tear i was watching/half watching it live and the array was clean. I heard the abort and the tear was suddenly there. Im almost certain the portion that is damaged had already been deployed and was 'clean' when i saw it. Hopefully their replays will clear up what happened.
