There's not enough light to pick up the stars. ie, the aparture of the cameras is too low since it's so bright up there.

edit: btw, they needed a newer graphics card for that little CG sequence they showed. :D Jerkiness abounded. But it was really cool. I'll miss the later end of the spacewalk (have to head to work) but yeah.

Looked like Scott had a twist in his main external umbilical cable - so they extracted him, twisted him around 360 degrees, and stuffed him back in again.  :laugh:

By any chance, where's the third Expedition 16 member (Yuri Malenchenko) in all of this?  Haven't seen him at all in any of the coverage during this mission...

He's onboard, right?

EDIT: Nevermind.  He was just mentioned on NASA TV right now. :bleh:
