Is John44 going to get this morning's briefing uploaded before he turns in for the night (in Europe)?  Been itching for it all day.

John's probably resting up for tomorrow's EVA  ;)

By the way, thanks for recording all the files for us John! Wish I knew how to do it myself......

It's the extra day i orbit and the remake of EVA4 official yet? If not, how big is the chance it will happen?

Mike S noted it was ISS that want it, but has to go to the MMT.

As soon as we get word, I'll note it (and go with the article). It's highly likely to be the case, but not official until the MMT say so.

The shots of Harmony above remind me a lot of the Skylab footage with various astronauts literally running around. It's a shame that Node 2 will soon be sluttered up - a necessary evil, but I sure miss the days when people had a lot of empty space to goof around in. :)

Problem is, the more space you have, the easier it is to get stuck outside the reach of any sort of handhold; this is even a problem on the vomit comet!

Ok, Thanks! Some idea of when a decision from the MMT will come?

Very soon. I think it's already ended, but not sure (my John Shannon Helmetcam isn't working due to lack of KU ;) )

Martin FL - 29/10/2007 9:27 AM Yeah but Robert, what about the things you cover. Will there be enough power for Luke Skywalker's light saber! :o ;)

C'mon man- True Star Wars fans know that lightsabers are run on crystals customized and specially chosen by Jedis and Sith Lords alike. :bleh:

You have to build them yourself. Listen to the radio version of Star Wars.

Was Lucas given something like a "Von Braun Media Award" from NASA ? At least he was mentioned as being given an award at some kind of Von Braun dinner ... so they said on NASA TV. This Light Sabre thing makes a lot more sense if he was. Anyway .. carry on.

Tony Antonelli just called up that the shuttle MMT is still meeting, but that they have confirmed the full duration EVA-4 and adding the docked day between EVA-4 and 5.  The content of EVA-4 is still TBD...

Was Lucas given something like a "Von Braun Media Award" from NASA?
Lucas was awarded the National Space Club's media award during the annual Dr. Wernher von Braun Memorial Dinner held in Huntsville, Alabama. Mike Griffin was the dinner's featured speaker.

Unfortunately Lucas couldn't attend to accept his award in-person as he was in Florida for the launch of STS-120.

PAO just confirmed that EVA-4 will be dedicated to SARJ and T-RAD will be removed from tasks on this flight.
In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is !

They should move to the right by about 24 hours (undocking "early" on 5 Nov, landing "early" on 7 Nov -- early U.S. East Coast time), but not sure about specific times.
