pechisbeque - 29/10/2007 4:18 PMIn one of the earlier flights, one of the astronauts lost a screw when he was removing some launch restraints.I don't know in which part of the station he was, but couldn't one of those screws or bolts be causing the problem?

The SARJ talked about is the starboard SARJ(STS-117).
eeergo - 29/10/2007 9:07 AMSo, let's see if I get this right: there are two race rings, but only one is used, so if one is damaged they can always switch to the other? But what happens if whatever is (hypothetically) damaging it also damages the other? It doesn't look so improbable to me... It seems the only replaceable parts are the trundle bearings and the drive-lock assemblies. Why does he say the only 'damageable' parts are the trundles and the DLAs?
Chris Bergin - 29/10/2007 11:23 AMEVA-4 on the same day. Extra day is to allow day off inbetween EVAs 4 and 5.
hutchel - 29/10/2007 4:27 PM"Total mission priority is to get P4 up and running, otherwise they can't provide power to Columbua."quick correction - should be P6 - P4 is already working..... ;-)
hutchel - 29/10/2007 10:29 AMIs there sufficient consumables to do the T-RAD EVA AFTER undocking on the Shuttle - i.e. use the shuttle air lock without station support? This would allow the station crew to press forward on their tasks and not impact their busy timeline and just bring Discovery home a day later.Lee
