ApolloLee - 29/10/2007 1:25 AMWas that Clay with that great comment on a bye being a win for the Army football team?By the way... Wouldn't sports priority go to the Red Sox winning the World Series? (Sure would if Suri was still up there)
MKremer - 28/10/2007 11:30 PMThey already relayed the World Series final earlier to Discovery and Stephanie (to cheers on audio in reply).
ApolloLee - 29/10/2007 1:28 AMAnd hey... Why is Clay up? Isn't he part of the shuttle crew now?

Chris Bergin - 28/10/2007 10:19 PM--snip--• P6 Handoff:o At the end of FD6, SSRMS is based on MBS PDGF3 at WS4 grappled to P6 in thehandoff position. SRMS grapples P6 in the handoff position, and SSRMS releases P6and maneuvers to a position to view MT translation. Then the MT and SSRMS aretranslated to WS8 which is required for P6 installation on P5.o After the Meal, SSRMS re-grapples P6 in the handoff position and SRMS releases P6and maneuvers to precradle. P6 remains on the SSRMS in the handoff positionovernight.o According to the flight rules, P6 should be on the SRMS for as short amount of time aspossible in case of an emergency undock.--snip--

Chris Bergin - 29/10/2007 10:08 AM"We're absolutely booked on ISS work between STS-120 and STS-122." Days off cancelled.Might move STS-122 down a day.
pechisbeque - 29/10/2007 4:18 PMIn one of the earlier flights, one of the astronauts lost a screw when he was removing some launch restraints.I don't know in which part of the station he was, but couldn't one of those screws or bolts be causing the problem?

eeergo - 29/10/2007 9:07 AMSo, let's see if I get this right: there are two race rings, but only one is used, so if one is damaged they can always switch to the other? But what happens if whatever is (hypothetically) damaging it also damages the other? It doesn't look so improbable to me... It seems the only replaceable parts are the trundle bearings and the drive-lock assemblies. Why does he say the only 'damageable' parts are the trundles and the DLAs?
Chris Bergin - 29/10/2007 11:23 AMEVA-4 on the same day. Extra day is to allow day off inbetween EVAs 4 and 5.
hutchel - 29/10/2007 4:27 PM"Total mission priority is to get P4 up and running, otherwise they can't provide power to Columbua."quick correction - should be P6 - P4 is already working..... ;-)
hutchel - 29/10/2007 10:29 AMIs there sufficient consumables to do the T-RAD EVA AFTER undocking on the Shuttle - i.e. use the shuttle air lock without station support? This would allow the station crew to press forward on their tasks and not impact their busy timeline and just bring Discovery home a day later.Lee

Yes, and it seems to me that someone else on 115 did as well. I also seem to recall that another bolt was lost later in the year, but again that would have been on the port side.
Really doesn't matter one way or the other though.

So essentially, they're back in 12A stage(P4 arrays deployed but not providing power and P6 is only arrays providing power) seen from a power perspective.

You have to build them yourself. Listen to the radio version of Star Wars.
Was Lucas given something like a "Von Braun Media Award" from NASA ? At least he was mentioned as being given an award at some kind of Von Braun dinner ... so they said on NASA TV. This Light Sabre thing makes a lot more sense if he was. Anyway .. carry on.
