We are now receiving KU video through TDRS-Z for the next few minutes (about 5 minutes of KU available right now, this is an estimate)

#6 released after some trouble.  A few crystals.  No active leak.  Crystals not hit crewmember.  In male side he can see piece of ammonia ice and will cap now

F8 releases easily.  No leaks.  No debris, galling or safety wire.  Forward white band not visible.  And mated.  Good snap back.  Tee-ah clamp installed.  Working on cap.

2, 4, 8 need additional turns (I believe on dust caps).  Ground suggests pulling it out to get it over tab for last half turn.  That works

Hi Zach, yes I am online for just one more hour this morning before I have to leave the great EVA coverage here to take care of other work activities. Now under TDRS-West comm coverage, but I don't expect good KU from it for another 15 minutes or so, still have KU through  TDRS-Z (not for much longer however). Sunrise in 15 minutes.

Hope I wasn't posting too much but wanted to give a feel for the pace and small challenges overcome for those who miss live coverage and read this later.  I'll post less frequently now that QD disconnect essentially complete.

Please continue. This is allowing me to keep an eye on the feed for interesting images without having to post so often!

Thanks!

Don't worry Dawei, you provided some great updates, with Zachstar providing the pics, you providing the technical details and me providing the comm and lighting details, we are covering this EVA from all the angles, together we all make a great team here at NSF.

Yes, I like your updates a lot, they get a lot of details that sometimes I miss between the comms or I plainly don't catch. Good work! :)

Visual inspection for ammonia best done in night pass.  Precautionary check.

We have lost KU through TDRS-Z as expected, expect KU through TDRS-West in about 15 minutes or so (this time is an estimate), 7 minutes to sunrise on this pass.

EV2 will take a "good gander" at EV1.  Any ammonia ice hits would likely be chest level.

The ammonia looked like "little tiny pieces of ice or almost hail."  EV2 checking out EV1 now.  Looking for a waxy appearance on the MLI.  Nothing visible.  No discoloration.

Wheels needs to get close and view from an oblique angle.  Look for unusual contours, waxy appearance, etc.
