When did MCC become a tech support line?  And more importantly, are there any plans to outsource it to India?   :bleh:

Could be related to their earlier network problem.

Well, they are suggesting a reboot. Maybe they can outsource it to 1000 monkeys?

...but note they are suggesting reboot of the server than runs the printer server -- that's likely not a laptop issue.

This is actually an inside joke at MCC on computers (I'm not even joking. From L2's Reflections presentation - which is hilarious throughout):

Question for those of us following along with checklists. I'm completely lost. I presume this is Rendezvous checklist, right? If so, where abouts are we? If someone could give me a page number that would be cool. I heard a reference half an hour or so ago (a while after docking) to MCC giving a go for Step 8. Step 8 is where, exactly?

I get lost sometimes :)

Docking sequence cue card. There's a paper copy in the RNDZ book, p. CC 9-11 (p. 205 of the PDF). Step 8 is at the top of the back side of the card.

Anyone notice the KU swirling around and around before they gave it to com?  I have seen it move before but never watched it go in circle after circle.  Was it "searching" for the orbiter in radar mode?

It was searching for ISS. It couldn't find it because the Ku was in GPC mode, which causes it to search where the GPC thinks the target is. The nav state had drifted off enough during the RPM that ISS wasn't within the 30 degree search cone. The crew didn't need radar at that point because TCS was already tracking, so they gave it up for comm early.

Anybody notice that quick shot of the ISS/shuttle on the wall map?  Looks like the graphic has already been updated with the P6 relocation.  Also, I noticed they finally updated the rendezvous graphic of the station to the current configuration (the past few flights have not had P4/S4, but HAVE had the P6 arrays in the still-deployed configuration.

EDIT: checking the map again... looks like the ETCS radiators are all deployed as well.

Actually, Zach has the map captured above...

Yes of course.  I meant ISS.  I don't think the Discovery crew needs radar to find themselves.  thanks for the details Jorge.
