Not sure! I thought I had a Commodore 64 waiting to load. Almost went looking for shift+run stop ;) (Showing my age there!).

Not sure if it was anything to do with the earlier OCA Troubleshooting.

Not to get off-topic but I have fond memories of my Commie 64... Remember that great Space Station game? I think Activision made it...

Seems like Houston has put Pambo on "fuel cell monitoring" duty. FC2 is acting up and they're trying to find a working circuit breaker for it.

Is FC2 showing the same sort of funny volt/amperage signatures that was noted and reported here during pre-launch?

I missed it Dave...is it the same transient motor speed issue as was observed pre-launch?

I didn't get it all, but it sounded like there are some bad cables or connections somewhere as the display was constantly switching between something like "Receiveing" and then "Not receiving". Again I just caught parts of it.

Could this be a serious issue?

I was confused by this, because - as Kim mentioned - there were references to cables and then to FC2, displays and receiving/not receiving etc. All didn't make any sense.

I've sent some e-mails off (sources were mostly in earlier) but know some more people to ask. Certainly does not sound related to the pre-launch transient.

Well let's X the fingers there is not a looming problem with FC2.  We know what the flt rules dictate in regards to a bum-fuel cell...

Err, no, what do they say?  I'm guessing they're not allowed to say up there.  Not even 'get to station and hook up the power transfer system'?

SSPTS or no SSPTS, a bad fuel cell always call for MDF since you then have voted "no confidence" in the other two and they can fail any minute now.

For what it's worth.. My sense was that the cables set up issues etc were to provide additional telemetry (Fuel Cell Monitoring software through Windecom) to the FC2 to the ground.. I didn't get the sense that there was anything critical that was being monitored this way but would be additional info... You'd think that critical FC2 telemetry would be provided through hardwire not through something that the crew is connecting.. Also Chris did not note anything from L2 which I'm thinking he'd have done if there was something serious going on.

If anyone hears that the post-MMT briefing gets moved up, as may happen if they finish early, please post here and let us know.  I need to make a decision about whether to do an hour of work away from NASA TV before 6pm or after 6pm ... Thanks!

The fuel cell monitoring program is a PGSC application that runs on an A31p laptop. It receives fuel cell data from a program called WinDECOM running on the same laptop. WinDECOM, in turn, receives the data from the orbiter via a cable to the PCMMU on panel O5.
