A 13500 PPM H2 "burp" was noticed during tanking, which registered on the GUCP leak detectors, but this is not deemed an issue. "This burp was seen at the same time on STS-116, the last flight of OV-103," noted controllers.

Mike is a very good PAO (by way of being a PAO and doing his job as one). Spoken to him a few times by e-mail, good guy. He's United Space Alliance (former head PAO at KSC) will be moving to DC to take up a NASA PAO role there. However, I believe this is his first role as the countdown PAO, as is Kylie's debut doing ascent.

Controllers watching Fuel Cell 2 closely (motor speed changing). Ok for now.

Controllers hold a poll (Ascent AFD Handover). All go, with EGIL making a note of the Fuel Cell 2 issue, but still go. "still scratching heads and working on explanation (over the FC2)" - quote from EGIL on the L2 live console update section.

FYI, Bill Harwood notes that the crew photo op at the breakfast table will be run as taped a little earlier in the hour.

Iceball observed by inspection team, but not deemed in an area that's a problem, as it's "below the debris line."

Interesting note about the new data drops on the FSS for real-time transmitting of inspection images.

Mike doesn't seem like he wants to mention the Fuel Cell, but that is the one item of interest as far as hardware that is being worked.

Might be due to the way it was/is characterized on the loops; also if it's not a LCC violation...

Wasn't there a similar problem found before the launch of STS-83 Columbia?
