NASA - ESAS (Exploration Systems Architecture Study)
The ESAS summarizes NASA's response to President Bush's directive to return to the Moon and look toward Mars exploration. NASA commisioned Media Fusion to create a compelling and accurate animation of the study findings. Portions of this animation have been used for the official NASA announcement. Media Fusion was also responsible for the creation of physical models of the spacecraft designs. The models will be distributed to the White House and members of the Congressional committee on Science and Technology.

They also have a link to some images of various studies I've not seen before.

You can see some of them on this Orbiter Forum thread I posted: http://orbit.m6.net/v2/read.asp?id=28236

Very nice find. This is only just tonite going around some e-mail addresses of people working on the CEV.
Ex-Apollo, waiting for NASA to finish what we started.

Wow, that's an impressive video of the whole process. It does look like Apollo, for sure, but I know, I suppose we have to go back to that for going to the Moon.

You go with what works. Apollo worked just fine.

With two failures, one critical and a load of luck on some of the others. I wouldn't say just fine. It worked, just.

With the video of the CEV mod being proposed, I'm wondering if people have seen any more videos of the CEV or SDLV. I have a feeling there's more around.

Why does the LSAM in that video look different than the one in the ESAS report?
Which design are they actually using?

There's always modifications to plans such as this. A good simple rule is to go with the latest official images.

This is the first video we commissioned and had a few older things in it before we commissioned the Frassanito video...

These guys also produced the video which surrounds an article I'm running on Wednesday. Talented people, the video on Wednesday is over 100mbs of stunning visuals - and hasn't seen light of day yet, I understand. I don't want to pre-empt the article and surrounding videos/PDFs with the name of the concept it surrounds to ensure we're not "debunked" by other media, but it'll be Wednesday, to avoid the holiday most of the world is on today (Monday) and New Horizons (Tuesday).
