I'm gonna have to "scrub" my job application because I have GOT to catch the launch. STS-120 WILSON/MELROY, BABY!!!!!!!
Hah... I'm in the same boat. Do I *really* need to be running off to job interviews this week?

zerm - 22/10/2007 5:00 PMActually... I sort of want a delay... I'm going down there a week from Saturday for 11 days... anything pushing the launch back into that envelope would be fine with me. I like to shout "GO! BABY GO!" in person. I'd also like to have my 4 year old daughter see a real launch.
CS24 - 22/10/2007 9:20 PMThe launch just happens to be in the middle of my only class in the morning.
joncz - 23/10/2007 12:56 PMYay! Now I get to look forward to tomorrow night's ISS and shuttle pass over Atlanta.Heavens-Above predicts a -1.8 (!) magnitude pass of ISS at 58 degree altitude with the shuttle chasing.

TNCMAXQ - 23/10/2007 12:55 PMIt looked great. Wish I had been there. I wonder how the view was for onlookers since on TV it looked like clouds obscured the vehicle during much of the ascent.Mike Currie seemed to lose his timing there in the last few seconds, plus I have never heard a PAO talk about the sound suppression system water in the final 10 seconds! He then seemed to have to rush the rest of his commentary. But as this was his first time I will let it go. I was just very pleased to see them get off on time, and I think it's great that 3 launches in a row have occurred right at the start of the window with no scrubs.
Bret - 2/11/2007 9:35 PMIn my book, Parazynski is a rock star. Go Scott!
Stardust9906 - 2/11/2007 7:55 PMI think we will see NASA at it’s best tomorrow. Good luck to Parazynski and everyone else involved.
claudiadg - 3/11/2007 6:02 PMdon't want to sound chauvinist, but may I add a SPECIAL cheer for Paolo Nespoli? we are terribly proud of him here in Italy!:-))
Ford Mustang - 6/11/2007 10:02 PMHere's to getting on the ground safely in about 14 hours!GO STS-120! ( I'm hoping it'll be closer to 2:00 PM EDT, so I can at least run to class to watch it live )

But it looks/sounds like she'll be here on the first attempt.
joshcryer - 7/11/2007 9:49 PMJust wanted to say that this was one of the most exiciting and wonderful Shuttle missions in my history of having watched STS. Just a wonderful thing to behold.
