Speaking of rollbacks, I was looking at some statistics and every other shuttle flight had a rollback since "return to flight' in 2005.
Lets hope Discovery STS-120 breaks that trend.
]

I second that!!! Here's to a great and successful pad flow toward October 23.

I didn't know the CT's had names, so here I was thinking that he was saying someone needed a pummeling.  ;)

Thanks for the great coverage, everyone!

Yep, Hans and Franz :) Can't remember the reasoning behind that. One of the Saturn V guys here claimed they were named after Von Braun's dogs, but I really wouldn't know!

The names Hans and Franz come from the old Saturday Night Live skits with Dana Carvey and Kevin Nealon--they were characters called Hans and Franz-they were body-builders with the i guess German accent and they were here to pump you up.  :)  This was mentioned by a crawler driver in the 1994 Discovery channel program "The Space Shuttle"  thats how know about it.  :) Im not trying to turn this into SNL chat. :laugh:
Three Engines onboard Endeavour have now throttled back to 2/3rds throttle to prepare the spacecraft to pass through the area of maximum dynamic pressure and to go supersonic

Nor am I, but that's exactly what I thought of first (hence the reference to "pummeling.") ;)

Anyway, back to 39A!

Well I need to update status with the delay to rollout:

"Vehicle power up is scheduled for Sunday morning, and weather permitting, APU hotfire for Sunday afternoon.'" Obviously this has been pushed down by the delay.

You're on L2, so check the STS-120: Revised Timeline chart to show how the pad flow proceeds.
