Talking about the ducts...

Not sure what the problem was, but MCC-H said "Ok, we're breathing again down here."

You can see one of the ducts (red pipe) below..

It was an orange hose (?), and they thought it was on the shuttle side after the vestibule between PMA-2 and the ODS was depressurized.

Garrett: One day, this will all be yours.. and that day is now.  If that feels like a tremendous burden, remember these words:  "With great burden comes great power."  This is an exciting point for me.  It's not that it was a perfect performance for me, but I haven't broken anything expensive.

TDRS Handover.

Just an update on Garrett's quotation from watching the flight day highlights...it should be "With great responsibility also comes great power".

Wonder if he purposely switched the order in the quotation from the first Spiderman movie ("with great power comes great responsiblity").  ;D

Thank you.  :)

I was multi-tasking at the time, and missed "responsibility"...  Thanks again.  :)

I think we got an insight into some of the movies and music Garrett's been watching with the Russians ;)

Translation of Garret's part in Russian (very good Russian, by the way).

"Dear comrades,
You know, I was very lucky. Sergey, you are a great commander, very capable and kind person. Thank you, Oleg, you have a special (?) aura. When we have a failure, you were up to the mark. We had many good moments together. I am glad that I was able to get you acquainted with some American culture. Remember, how we were watching Animal House and Harold and Kumar (?). And music, Bon Jovi. This was great. Our last month was not easy, with АСУ failure and getting ready for Shuttle. Despite all that we are good friends and have excellent relations. I wish you all creative successes." (it is difficult to translate the last phrase, but this is very standard wish(Zhelaem tvorcheskikh uspekhov) to people who are involved in some art or research or science).

PS: Soyuz, Progress, (space)ship are all masculine in Russian ("he")

Not "aura" - "sense of humor".
I think, there was good translation in the "FD11 Highlights", more "smooth", if you wish.

LV Soyuz or R-7, "семерка" - "she", spaceship "Soyuz" - "he". And it's depends how name was used in the sentence. For example, just "Soyuz", "Proton", "Zenit" always "he", but "LV Soyuz", "LV Proton", "LV Zenit" are "she".

I'm sure he said it coz' it's true, not coz someone said it in a movie

Harold and Kumar (?)

Thanks for the translation. Here's the film he was talking about.

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay

It's a comedy based on our paranonia about anyone who isn't American.

HA! Garrett won't of realized just how much trouble he could get in with the some people in the government for admitting they watched that film, with the Russians, on a 100 billion dollar space station! It's got to be the most politically incorrect film ever :D
