Includes part of Lee Jay's interview with SNC when he went down there last week (full interview on L2, with photos). Friday will use the bulk of this interview in a feature article.

It may be short lived depending on it's status following NASA commercial crew down select.

Very good news. Here's a vehicle we can all get behind.

And yes, a new section would be great.

Now now lets enjoy the moment. And what a moment it is.

Great work per usual Chris and Lee Jay, can't wait for more documentation to be published.

I want to see the baby orbiter fly and now she is a big step closer.

This improves its odds actually, as once you are at this point it becomes far more difficult to argue against.

And yes, a new section would be great.

Need a lot more threads for a section, but let's get there! :)

No worries Chris, we could start with a c/g discussion for Dream Chaser…  ;D

God, that ship looks elegant in that photo. If one accepts that both DC and the CCDev capsules will prove safe and reliable, I think two of the biggest questions will be these:

1. How many times can DC be reused in comparison with all the CCDev capsules?

2. How much turnaround maintenance will it require in comparison with those capsules?

This is one vehicle that (a) I would love to work on and (b) I'd love to fly aboard! :)

I was looking at the pics of the flight test DC, and I have to say it really does look good, the nose is much better.

Lifting Body Air and Spacecraft Q & A

With all the interest generated by Dream Chaser and its direct ancestor the HL-20 and all the other lifting body vehicles, the thread linked below is to discuss, inform and exchange general questions, ideas and answers as to what exactly a Lifting Body is. This is to keep the Dream Chaser threads clean and without clutter and OT topics as things get busier now. :)
