Title: Shuttle STS - 117 Not on Real Data Tracking?
Post by: dwmzmm on 06/10/2007 05:43 am
Usually, when a Shuttle has been launched and is chasing the ISS, I follow it on the Human
Spaceflight Orbital Tracking website (http://spaceflight1.nasa.gov/realdata/tracking/), however,
since the launch last Friday evening, STS - 117 has not appeared on this tracking chart as of
the few moments before I made this post.  Can anyone explain why?!  Thanks.

The shuttle was shown on FD1 after launch. Not sure why they stopped sending data.

Can't answer your question exactly, but may I suggest you download either one of two (or have both), excellent satellite programs such as "Orbitron" and/or "WX Track". then register with "Space-Track" and get the up-to-date "Two Line Elements" (TLE's) for the Orbiter and ISS. They are both freeware and are very professional looking. You'll never have to rely on the one your on about ever again. I also use the commercial software called "Redshift 5.1", where I can also track any satellite through the constellations.  ;)
