I was able to speak to SpaceX this evening, and confirmed that, in fact, they misspoke, we do not need to provide a grant by this Friday, rather they need inputs from us in support of their FAA license application such as information about our spacecraft and pending application, etc.
My sincere apologies for the fire drill, and miscommunication on that deadline. I did ask them what would be reasonable in terms of having a grant in hand for them to share with the FAA, and something closer to L-30 days is acceptable (in this case, we are targeting an April 1, 2024 launch date, so March 1, 2024). We of course would appreciate receiving something sooner.

The first Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite of Korea 425 Project constellation was successfully launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on the evening of 7th, April 2024.
Thales Alenia Space's contribution to this program, developed in cooperation with Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) and Hanwha Systems Corporation (HSC), for the Korean Agency for Defence and Development (ADD) as the prime developer, goes beyond the engineering support provided during the critical phases of the End-to-End System and Satellite System projects.
Our contribution extends to the supply of our high-performance Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR) that utilizes an innovative antenna consisting of a Large deployable reflector with 24 deployable petals and an active phased array feed array in dual polarization. Another significant part of our contribution is the acquisition, storage, and data retransmission system on the ground. The high agility of the “dancing satellite” is guarantee by the innovative avionics and Control Momentum Gyroscope, also provided by Thales Alenia Space. These advanced technologies enable high-performance observation and surveillance capabilities, critical to the success of the program.

TSAT-1A has been assembled in TASL’s Assembly, Integration and Testing (“AIT”) plant at its Vemagal facility in Karnataka. This achievement follows the collaboration signed between TASL and Satellogic in November 2023, leveraging Satellogic’s expertise to develop and integrate an advanced EO satellite in India and TASL’s capability to undertake complex system integration.
Sukaran Singh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, TASL, said, “This milestone shows TASL’s commitment to the space sector. This is a first step. Our partnership with Satellogic has enabled us to deliver an assembled and tested in India, best-in-class, fully integrated sub-meter optical satellite which was launched aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket for the Bandwagon-1 mission. We are grateful for the support we have received from various Indian Government authorities for required permissions.”
TSAT-1A will deliver high-resolution optical satellite images with increased collection capacity, dynamic range, and low-latency delivery through its multispectral and hyperspectral capabilities.

Satellogic provided industry knowledge transfer, foundational components, IP licensing terms, and support in constructing an AIT facility in India – features of its Space Systems offering for direct satellite sales.

The QPS-SAR No. 7 "TSUKYOMI- Ⅱ " was launched yesterday morning, and deployed its retractable antenna late last night.
As you can see in the AFTER photo, the deployment was a beautiful and successful success ✨
After this, we will continue to adjust the satellite and move forward to acquiring the first images 💪
