This seems like an improved Hubble. Docks to the space station for easy servicing. Wide field. Modern instruments.
This will give China some capabilities nobody else has and make them a serious player in astronomy.

I'd argue that the other thread should be moved here. It's a science project, not a "Chinese launcher" project.
