FFS.. The Mars Helicopter thing has been done already.  Are the Chinese EVER going to do anything original?!??

Is that how exploration works? Someone does something once and it mustn't be done again?

Zhurong has numerous innovations in its mobility and thermal control (which, by your logic, I'm guessing no one else should use now). Though I don't get the impression there's a lot of variety possible in Mars drone architectures if you want to keep it light and simple. I think the point of China's Mars helicopter is to help with exploration moreso than to impress Westerners who have been trained to view everything China does as unoriginal.

Relay satellite in Earth-Moon L2, far side lunar rover, lunar landing with obstacle avoidance, largest ever robotic sample return mission, autonomous docking in lunar orbit don't count?

Seriously they are relatively late to to space exploration so much of what they do will have been done before.  Does not mean the are not worth doing.

I guess that’s why Australia hasn’t launched anything. It’s all been done before.

Just for everyone's sanity, can you please reassure everyone you're taking the piss here?
