Looks like this section will have to be renamed, again!

The news here is that Northrop Grumman is reshaping its corporate structure into four sectors, and one of them is going to be named "Space Systems". Blake Larson, current corporate vice president and president of Innovation Systems will lead "Space Systems". Clearly, Northrop Grumman plans to be in space.

Better than the old name: Aerospace Systems Sector

This is along the lines of how I thought NG was going to integrate OATK into the corporation when the OATK acquisition was first announced. They each had space related groups and structure groups pre-acquisition. But when the acquisition closed, NG just kept OATK together as a new sector (NGIS).
This new alignment makes more sense - grouping the spacecraft & launcher groups into one sector, putting the OATK aerospace structures group into the same sector as NG's, moving the old ATK defense group into a sector more aligned with other NG defense specific work.

Had to get other merger requirements and post merger commitments finished before they could consolidate fully. NGAS (ex TRW), NGIS (ex OATK) and Scaled Composites have now been merged into NGSS with Scaled Composites keeping its name and semi autonomy.

Aeronautics side of NGAS was retained and renamed into to Aeronautics Systems and space side of NGAS went to NGIS and became NGSS.
